UPDATE: Two Charged in Leesburg Felony Assault Investigation
Leesburg, VA (July 13, 2022) – On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, a teenage juvenile male turned himself in at the Leesburg Police Department for his involvement in the July 11th felony assault that occurred in a parking lot of an apartment complex located in the 0 block of Fort Evans Road NE. The juvenile was served petitions charging him with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding and two counts of gang participation. He is being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, Marcos Sorto Argueta, 18, of Leesburg, turned himself in at the Leesburg Police Department. Sorto Argueta was served warrants charging him with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding and two counts of gang participation. He is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
Through the investigation, it has been determined that the assault appears to have been a targeted attack.
