Suspicious Incident/Threat: 43100 block Hay Rd. Ashburn VA

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office identified and located a subject last night who called Stone Bridge High School Tuesday morning and reportedly made threatening statements over the phone. After consultation with the Loudoun Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, the subject was charged today with the use of profane, threatening, or indecent language over public airways. Robert M. Ruiz, 31, of Alexandria, was served the misdemeanor warrant with the assistance of the Fairfax County Police Department. The investigation stemmed from a phone call that was answered November 30 by a Stone Bridge High School staff member around 10:45 a.m. After the phone call was received, Stone Bridge High School staff and LCPS School Safety and Security restricted entrance to the school, and additional members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer Unit were on the campus out of an abundance of caution.
