Social Security Scam: Ashburn VA

The complainant reported receiving a phone call from someone identifying himself as an officer with the Social Security Administration. The caller stated that the complainant had warrants out for her arrest and instructed her to go to a local store and purchase a gift card. The complainant purchased the gift card and provided the caller with the card information as well as personal information: date of birth, social security number, and previous addresses.
