Deputies responded for a report of a reckless driver involving a RV used for commercial purposes. The vehicle was reportedly smoking as it drove through the area. Upon arrival, deputies located the RV unoccupied and on fire. Loudoun County Fire and Rescue units responded and extinguished the fire. The Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene and advised the fire likely originated from the rear brakes. The owner of the vehicle, who was out of the area, reported on August 3 that the RV was missing from the area of the unit block of Edds Ln., Sterling. This case remains under investigation.
