PURCELLVILLE, Va., October 1, 2023 — Last night, the Purcellville Police Department Officers were dispatched at 11:19 p.m., in the area of the 600 block of Main Street for a report of a possible accidental, self-inflicted shooting. Officers responded and found an adult male shot in his lower extremity, and emergency medical attention was immediately provided. The subject was transported to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation into this incident. There is currently no threat to the public.
