A perimeter was established, and five juveniles were apprehended nearby. A sixth involved juvenile who was not apprehended has since been identified. Officers recovered merchandise which had been stolen from the business both from the juveniles and from a vehicle that they had used. It was determined that the vehicle had been taken from a family member of one of the juveniles without their consent.
The investigation will now be turned over to the Loudoun County Juvenile Court Services Unit for the placement of charges against all six juveniles, who range in age from 14-16 years old.
We would like to thank the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfax County Police Department, and Virginia State Police for their invaluable assistance in helping to set a perimeter and apprehend the juveniles.
The incident remains under investigation by the Leesburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Section. Additionally, we are working to determine if this burglary is related to a November 17, 2022, burglary of the same business.
