Law Enforcement Impersonation Scam: 5/11/2023 Sterling VA

The complainant reported receiving two phone calls from a subject claiming to be a Sergeant with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. The imposter informed her that she had two warrants for her arrest and needed to pay for her bond to avoid arrest. The victim agreed to meet the imposter at one of the LCSO stations to pay her bond in person. The victim discovered that she was being scammed after speaking to LCSO deputies.
