Deputies responded to the Wegmans grocery store for a report of a male shoplifting. Deputies located the male outside of the store and when they contacted him, the male assaulted a deputy and fled on foot. The male failed to comply with the deputies’ commands to stop and one of the deputies deployed his taser, striking the male. The male was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Larceny, Obstructing Justice, and Possession of Burglar Tools. Eric S. Grish, 41 of Sterling was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where he was released on a $2,500 bond.
