At approximately 9:15 p.m. a subject was observed leaving the store without paying for a shopping cart filled with items including champagne and assorted meats from the coolers. The subject was confronted by a store employee, who grabbed the cart, but ultimately failed to stop the theft. The subject left the lot in a vehicle. Police were called approximately one plus hour after the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
