Investigation Underway After Bus and Car Collide in Sterling

Sterling, Loudoun County, VA, February 23, 2024 – A traffic incident involving a transit bus and a car in Sterling prompted a response from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) last evening. The incident, occurring near the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and Relocation Drive around 6:21 p.m., led to one driver being hospitalized with serious injuries, while the other sustained minor injuries but was released after treatment.

Authorities detailed that the collision involved a 2006 Honda Accord and a transit bus, which, fortunately, was not carrying any passengers at the time. The driver of the Honda required urgent medical attention and was transported to a local hospital. The bus driver’s injuries were minor, allowing for a swift release after receiving care.

The LCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit has taken charge of the ongoing investigation to piece together the events leading up to the crash. As of now, the identities of the individuals involved have not been disclosed.
