The complainant reported she received a phone call from someone stating they were from Amazon and reported an issue with her account. The person told her that they would contact local law enforcement and assist her with filing a police report. The subject then transferred the call to a person claiming to be a patrolman (not a deputy) with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. The subject sent the complainant a photo of his credentials, which the complainant knew were fake. This case remains under investigation.
