The victim received four e-mails from Bank of America informing her that an account had been opened online, in her name. She stated that she only had one account at the bank. She contacted the bank and the account was immediately closed. The victim did not suffer any financial loss. To reduce the chance of becoming a victim, it is important to monitor your credit.
