Deputies received a call for a possible intoxicated person driving. A deputy on patrol located the vehicle in front of a residence where deputies were responding to another call for an attempted breaking and entering. When the deputy approached the vehicle in question, the driver attempted to drive off. Deputies were able to stop the vehicle and discovered that the male driver had attempted to forcibly enter the residence. William L. Harper, 50 of Ashburn was charged with Attempted Burglary, Destruction of Property, and Driving while Intoxicated. Harper was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where he is being held without bond.
