Officers responded to a fight that occurred between juvenile siblings. The older sibling was assaulted by the younger. They had been separated and the mother was with the victim’s sibling while the younger was in a bedroom. Officers learned that the assaultive behavior may have been the byproduct of a recent medication change. No charges were filed based on consultation with the parent and a pending medical visit for the suspect in this matter. Juvenile and mental health authorities were notified and will work with the family to address ongoing issues.
