Deputies responded for a report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, the victim reported to deputies that she and her children were assaulted by the suspect and that they were denied their attempts to leave the residence.
As deputies were talking to the victim, the suspect exited the residence, approached the deputies in an aggressive manner, and attempted to assault them. The deputies were able to gain control of the suspect and once he was in custody they found a handgun in his waistband and another handgun on his ankle.
Oswaldo Lozano, 31, of Sterling was charged with Kidnapping, Assault and Battery, Assault and Battery Against a Family Member, Intoxication in Public, and Possessing a Firearm While Intoxicated, and Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. Lozano was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where he is being held on no bond.
