Burglary: 100 Block of S. Maple Avenue Purcellville VA

The complainant called PD to report a burglary of his basement apartment. He thought he lost or misplaced his wallet last weekend and has been searching for it. Yesterday, he received a call from a friend who told the complainant that a third party, known to both, stole the wallet from the complainant’s apartment. The investigation revealed the suspect was trying to sell a Gucci wallet for $35.00 and agreed to sell the wallet to the complainant’s friend. When the friend saw the wallet, he immediately recognized it as the property of the complainant and asked the suspect how he obtained it. The suspect reportedly admitted he stole the wallet from the complainant’s apartment when he wasn’t home. Giving this some thought, the complainant remembered running into the suspect at McDonald’s on Sunday, 12/18 at approximately 2:00 PM. Although he doesn’t know the suspect well, he spoke to the suspect briefly and believes he told the suspect about his immediate plans to go to a friend’s home. He believes the suspect went to his home and committed the theft knowing the complainant would not be home. A Wanted check on the suspect revealed he currently is WANTED by LCSO on Burglary and CC Fraud charges. Multiple agencies were made aware of this incident and are actively looking for the suspect.
