Deputies responded to the Dollar Tree store for a report of an employee who was assaulted by a subject. The employee reported that a male subject was in the store, took a bag of chips, and when the employee confronted the subject, he was punched. The store employee in turn punched the subject. The subject was transported to a local area hospital to be evaluated. As the subject was being released from the hospital and placed under arrest, he became disorderly with the deputies and resisted arrest. Jason R. Cunningham, 20 of Woodbridge was charged with Assault, Larceny, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest. Cunningham was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where he is being held pending a bond review.
